Nadur Youngsters were awarded the BOV Gozo Football League First Division 2019/20 title while Sannat Lions were awarded that of the BOV Gozo Football League First Division after the Council of the Malta Football Association voted in favour of a proposal that the sporting outcome for the Gozo FA Leagues 2019/20 would beas agreed by the GFA and the large majority Gozitan clubs.

The Gozo Football Association and thirteen of the fourteen Gozitan clubs were proposing that the leaders in the two divisions, Nadur Youngsters and Sannat Lions would be declared champions; no teams would be relegated from the First Division and that two teams will be promoted from the Second Division.

Thanks to this decision, Second Division champions Sannat Lions and runners-up Oratory Youths will be playing in the First Division.

76% voted in favour, 6% against, 11% abstained and 7% did not vote.
