The UEFA Executive Committee will be holding its next videoconference meeting in two parts, on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Among the main points on the agenda of the first day of the meeting are the remaining matches from the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League and the qualifying phase, play-offs and group-stage of the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Maltese clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League will be entering the competitions in the first qualifying round. Floriana will be representing Malta in the UEFA Champions League while Valletta, Hibernians and Sirens will represent Malta in the UEFA Europa League.

Also on the agenda are the remaining matches from the 2019/20 UEFA Women’s Champions League and 2019/20 UEFA Youth League and the calendar for the 2020/21 UEFA Women’s Champions League where Malta will be represented once again by Birkirkara.

The Executive Committee will also discuss the venues and match schedule for the UEFA EURO 2020 which has been postponed to 2021; the rescheduling of the EURO 2020 play-offs and 2020/21 UEFA Nations League group stage; the 2019–21 UEFA European Under-21 Championship calendar and format; the 2019/20 UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship and UEFA European Under-19 Championship calendars and formats and futsal competitions.

Of particular interest for Malta is the UEFA Nations League as matches were due to be played on 3-5 and 6-8 September, 8-10 and 11-13 October and 12-14 and 15-17 November with Malta being due to play the Faroe Islands in Torshavn on September 3, host Latvia on September 6, play Andorra away from home on October 9 and Latvia on October 12 and finally hosting Andorra on November 14 and the Faroe Islands on November 17.

Meanwhile the main points on the agenda of the second day of the meeting are the qualifying draw procedure for the 2022 FIFA World Cup; Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations and the UEFA Heading Guidelines.
