Gzira United continued to revamp their squad with the signing of Colombian left back Camilo del Castillo Escobar.

The twenty-five year old had started his career at Boca Juniors Cali and after a spell with Cortulua, joined Quarteirense in Portugal. He returned to Colombia where he played for CD America and Atletico before moving to Santa Lucia last summer.

The Maroons, who have re-appointed Darren Abdilla as their coach, have earlier signed Steve Borg, Kevaughn Atkinson and Ricardo Calixto Correa Duarte, Gabriel Bohrer Mentz, Jackson Usuga Mendoza and Luis Riascos Torres. Jefferson Assis, on the other hand, will be back with Gzira after a spell with Al Fujairah in the UAE.

Gianmarco Conti and Fernando Barbosa were not retained while Clifford Gatt Baldacchino was loaned to Marsa. Juan Carlos Corbalan is set to complete a move to Hamrun Spartans.
