Steve Borg presented with MFA Footballer of the Year Award

Malta international defender Steve Borg was presented with the MFA Footballer of the Year 2019/20 award during the MFA Awards night which was held after the association’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday.

For the former Valletta defender, who has now joined Gzira United, this was the first time he claimed this award.

Champions Floriana claimed three honours – Enzo Potenza as Best Coach, Kristian Keqi as Best Foreign Player and Jan Busuttil as Best Young Player.

Haley Bugeja, who has now joined Sassuolo from Mgarr United, won the award for Best Women’s League Player and Women’s Under-19 League Best Player.
