Tarxien Rainbows sign former Portuguese international goalkeeper

Tarxien Rainbows continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of former Portuguese international goalkeeper Daniel Marcio Fernandes.

Thirty-six year old Daniel Fernandes started his career at in Canada, where he was born, with Vancouver Metro but at a young age moved to Portugal to join Porto. Later he played for Celta Vigo B in Spain, Regensburg II in Germany, PAOK  in Greece, Vfl Bochum in Germany, Panathinaikos and Panserraikos in Greece, CFR Cluj in Romania, Twente in the Netherlands, OFI Crete and Panthrakikos in Greece, San Antonio and Rayo OKC in the USA, Lillestrom in Norway and for the past two years for Farense in Portugal.

Tarxien had earlier signed Jurgen Borg, Jurgen Debono, Kyle Gatt, Karl Pulo, Luke Sciberras and Vito Plut while confirming Brandon Muscat, Daren Falzon and Daniel Zerafa. Winston Muscat has been appointed as their new coach.
