Tarxien Rainbows signed thirty two year old Brazilian forward Ricardo Pires Santos Junior.

Ricardo Pires started his career with Vasco and then played for another Brazilian side Barcelona. He moved to Colombia to join Depot Aguablanca. Later he played for Soft. Siege in Germany and Rondels in Portugal before returning to Brazil to play for Indepencia and eventually Rio Branco and Sinop. Later he played for Lusitano FCV, Anadia, Farense, Castelo Branco, Marinhense and Ssrtanense in Portugal, Samir Sakhon in Thailand, Potros UAEM in Mexico and ADR Jicaral in Costa Rica.

Tarxien had earlier signed Jurgen Borg, Jurgen Debono, Kyle Gatt, Karl Pulo, Luke Sciberras, Vito Plut and goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes while confirming Brandon Muscat, Daren Falzon and Daniel Zerafa. Winston Muscat has been appointed as their new coach.
