Santa Lucia FC continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Brazilian midfielder Izaías Junio Duarte da Silva.

Twenty-one year old Izaias played for Serranense and Tupi in Brazil before moving to Malta.

Santa Lucia had earlier signed goalkeepers Andreas Vella and Christopher Farrugia, Andreas Vella (defender), Jamie Zerafa, Michael Camilleri, Kieran Xuereb, Liam Mckay, Victor Luiz Prestes Filho, Leandro Motta and Alan da Silva Souza. Oliver Spiteri has been confirmed as coach.
