Almost all domestic leagues to kick-off by mid-October

Following the kick-off of the BOV Premier League last Saturday with the BOV Challenge League and the Women’s Under-19 League scheduled to kick-off on September 25 and September 27 respectively, the Malta Football Association announced that the other leagues are set to start in October.

October 6th has been earmarked for the start of the BOV Women’s League.

The BOV National Amateur League, which replaces the Second and Third Division, will kick-off on October 16.

As from mid-October, matches in senior leagues will kick-off at 15:00 and 19:15 and as from November at 14:00 and 18:15.

The Women’s Under-15 League will kick-off on October 17 while the Youth League starts off on October 19.

Only the Futsal League and recreational football – leagues organised by most member associations – will kick-off in November.

Leagues organised by the Youth Football Association are set to start on October 3.
