Floriana, Hamrun seek second win

Floriana and Hamrun Spartans seek maximum points as they take on Hibernians and Santa Lucia respectively in the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium on Sunday.

All matches are being played behind closed doors. but fans are able to watch games thanks to the live-streaming service being offered by the Malta Football Association at https://live.mfa.com.mt/ apart from the usual two weekly matches which are broadcast on TVM 2 and/or TSN.

In the first match, kick-off at 17:00, Hamrun Spartans face Santa Lucia.

The Spartans were in excellent form last Monday as they registered a most comfortable 5-1 win over Sirens. Another win on Sunday would ensure they maintain a perfect record to join Valletta on the six-point mark.

Santa Lucia, on the other hand, earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Zejtun Corinthians last week and will aim for another positive result on Sunday.

Meanwhile in the second match, kick-off at 21:15, champions Floriana face Hibernians.

After being eliminated from the UEFA Europa League, losing to FC Flora of Estonia on penalties, the Greens will turn their full focus on the BOV Premier League campaign. In their first outing, Floriana defeated Gzira United 2-1.

Hibernians, on the other hand, chase their first points after losing 1-3 to Sliema Wanderers last week. Andrei Agius is ruled out for the Paolites as he serves a one-match ban.
