Kaljevic hat-trick earns Mosta a draw in great comeback

Mosta came back from three goals down to earn a point in a 3-3 draw with Balzan at the National Stadium on Thursday.

Balzan took the lead on the 5th minutes when off a cross from the right, Suleiman Jalu headed home past goalkeeper Bitseki Moto.

On the 12th minute, Balzan doubled the score. The Mosta goalkeeper rushed out of the area to clear the ball but ended up serving Suleiman Jalu who found no difficulty to score with a powerful shot from outside the area.

In the beginning of the second half, something curious took place as Mosta, who had already kicked-off the first half, kicked-off the second half as well.

Eight minutes in the second half, Balzan increased the lead when Tyrone Farrugia was unlucky to deflect the ball past the goalkeeper following a cross by Ljubomirac for an own goal.

Bojan Kaljevic reduced the gap on the 64th minute, heading the ball home following a corner from the left by Duane Bonnici.

With a direct freekick from the left, Bojan Kaljevic scored a second goal for Mosta two minutes from time.

But it was not over yet as two minutes in added time, Mosta were awarded a penalty and Bojan Kaljevic made no mistake to equalise.
