Balzan edge past neighbours Lija

Balzan returned to winning ways thanks to a narrow win over neighbours Lija Athletic at the National Stadium on Saturday.

For Balzan, this was the second win in four matches after a narrow defeat to Valletta and a rather disappointing 3-3 draw with Mosta. Lija, on the other hand, suffer their second defeat.

Balzan scored the all-important goal on the 23rd minute when Moussa Kamara received an assist inside the area and hit low past goalkeeper Luke Bonnici.
