Tricky test for leaders Hamrun Spartans

Leaders Hamrun Spartans will be aiming for a fifth consecutive win on Tuesday as they take on Birkirkara in one of the four BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium and the Centenary Stadium.

Gzira United face Lija Athletic, Zejtun Corinthians take on Balzan while Tarxien Rainbows cross swords with Santa Lucia.

All matches are being played behind closed doors. but fans are able to watch games thanks to the live-streaming service being offered by the Malta Football Association at https://live.mfa.com.mt/ apart from the usual two weekly matches which are broadcast on TVM 2 and/or TSN.

Lija Athletic vs Gzira United, kick-off 17:00 at Centenary Stadium

After beating Valletta and Mosta, Gzira will be aiming for a third win in a row from this clash with Lija. After beating Senglea in their first outing, Lija collected just one point from the next three matches, losing to Gudja and Balzan and earning a point in a draw with Birkirkara.

Tatxien Rainbows vs Santa Lucia, kick-off 17:00 at National Stadium

Following an impressive 2-1 win over Floriana, Santa Lucia target another three points from this clash. Tarxien, on the other hand, are still chasing their first win after two narrow defeats and a draw with Gzira.

Zejtun Corinthians vs Balzan, kick-off 21:15 at Centenary Stadium

Buoyed by their 3-2 win over Birkirkara, Zejtun will be hoping to collect more precious points from the clash with Balzan. Balzan registered narrow wins over Tarxien and Lija, earning another point in a draw with Mosta.

Hamrun Spartans vs BIrkirkara, kick-off 21:15 at National Stadium

The Spartans are the only team with maximum points from four matches after defeating Sirens, Santa Lucia, Senglea and Gudja. They start as favourites on Tuesday considering that Birkirkara were far from impressive in first four matches. They earned a point in a draw with Lija, losing to Valletta, Mosta and Zejtun.
