Kevin Ante Rosero notched a late equaliser for Santa Lucia as they held Valletta in a 1-1 draw at the Hibernians Stadium on Sunday.
For Oliver Spiteri’s side, this was yet another positive result after back-to-back wins over Floriana and Tarxien Rainbows. On the other hand, Valletta drop another two points following a defeat to Gzira United and a draw with Hibernians.
After going close with a Santiago Malano effort hitting the crossbar on 31 minutes, the Citizens managed to take the lead four minutes from the end of the first half thanks to a header by Eslit Sala following a freekick by Miguel Angel Alba.
Santa Lucia equalised two minutes from time when off a Leandro Motta corner from the right, Kevin Correa hit the woodwork with a header and off the rebound, Kevin Ante Rosero placed the ball at the back of the net.
