Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following match day 7 of the BOV Premier League.

Imanol Gonzalez Benac (Gudja), Elkin Serrano Valero (Hamrun) and Ferdinando Apap (Hibernians) are therefore ruled out of their next league game.

Gonzales is ruled out of the clash against Valletta while Serrano and Apap will skip Hibernians vs Hamrun.

In the Challenge League, Jamie Scerri (Pieta) was handed a one-match ban. Mqabba official Jeremy Mericeca was suspended for three matches.

On the other hand, after the Preliminary Round of the National Amateur Cup, Keith Vella (Luqa) was banned for three matches while Damon Grima (Luqa), Antoine Attard (Melita), Bartomeu Perello Palou (Zebbug Rovers) and Wayne Aquilina were suspended for one match.
