A brace by Francesca Chircop handed Mgarr United a 2-1 win over Kirkop United in a match from the BOV Women’s League at the Mgarr Ground on Tuesday. A win which puts Mgarr three points clear of second-placed Swieqi United, who, however, have a game in hand.
Chircop put Mgarr ahead on the 8th minute and doubled the score on the 21st with Sarah Urpani reducing the arrears seven minutes from time.

Raiders Gharghur registered a second win on the trot as they defeated Mtarfa 6-0 at the Centenary Stadium.
Leanne Micallef opened the scoring on the 7th minute and Maya Lucia made it 2-0 on the 26th with Michela Bonello Ghio scoring a third goal one minute from the end of the first half. Monique Sultana increased the lead three minutes in the second half and five minutes later, Anna Aloisio added another. Sarah Vella Barberi scored the sixth goal on the 62nd minute.
