Leaders San Gwann suffered their first defeat in the BOV Challenge League as they lost 0-3 to Marsa in one of the two matches at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.
Lydon Micallef put Marsa ahead on the 36th and Patrick Jean Teixeira Maia doubled the score just before the end of the first half. Lydon Micallef sealed the issue with a third goal eight minutes in the second half.
In another match, Vittoriosa Stars came from behind to beat Fgura United 3-1.
Saturday Nanapere put Fgura ahead on the 12th minute. Renan Sgaria Farias equalised on the 38th. Gianluca Sultana made it 2-1 on the 53rd and an own goal sealed the issue on the 79th.
