Zurrieq secured a place in the quarter-finals of the National Amateur Cup thanks to a 2-1 win over Mdina Knights in a match from the Round of 16 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Wednesday.
Following a goalless first half, Adrian Caruana put Zurrieq ahead on the 49th minute and Mauro Bonnici doubled the score on the 61st. Lee Cuschieri pulled one back on the 77th minute.
