Pembroke Athleta took sole leadership in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated San Gwann 3-1 in one of the two matches in programme at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos put Pembroke ahead on the 12th minute when he converted a penalty. Petar Kanzurov equalised on the 35th minute but an own goal on the 68th minute restored the lead for Pembroke. Abdeen Temitope Abdul sealed the issue on the 75th minute.
