The Malta FA has appointed a working group to discuss and draft a Memorandum of Understanding with Premier League and Challenge League clubs, especially with regards to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The terms of reference of the working group, which is chaired by president Bjorn Vassallo, include financial entitlements, fixture planning, release of players for the national teams, creation of consultative platform, medical incentives and the sporting regulatory aspect.

The other members of the working group are Victor Cassar, Stefan Vella, Devis Mangia, Ivan Vella, Joe Micallef and secretary Kurt Formosa.
