Second consecutive win for Birkirkara

Birkirkara registered a second win in five days as they defeated Tarxien Rainbows 3-0 at the Hibernians Stadium on Wednesday. A win which puts the Stripes in eleventh place on ten points.

Tarxien, on the other hand, were given a reality check following the impressive 3-1 win over Valletta during the weekend.

Birkirkara took the lead on the 9th minute when off a cross by Luke Montebello from the right, Federico Falcone hi home from close range.

Twelve minutes in the second half, the Stripes doubled the score thanks to Luke Montebello who slotted the ball past goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes following an erratic clearance. 

Thirteen minutes from time, Luke Montebello sealed the issue with a third goal when he received an assist by Claudio Bonanni and rounded a defender before placing a ball at the back of the net.
