Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

The players are Paul Mbong (Birkirkara), Juan Andres Bolanos (Gudja), Daniel Scerri (Lija), Jamie Zerafa (Santa Lucia), Luis Carlos Riascos and Andre Scicluna (Senglea), Matthew Spiteri (Tarxien), Joseph Zerafa (Valletta), Ibrahim Kone and Marcelo Muniz (Zejtun).

Birkirkara could not count on Mbong for the game against Balzan; Bolanos, Riascos and Scicluna are ruled out of Senglea vs Gudja; Matthew Spiteri will miss Tarxien vs Floriana; Jamie Zerafa is ruled out of Sirens vs Santa Lucia, Scerri, Kone and Muiz will skip Zejtun vs Lija while Joseph Zerafa will be unavailable for Valletta in their clash with Mosta.

In the BOV Challenge League, Gabriel Nazareno Mannino (Mqabba), Jacob Mizzi (Qormi) and Gianluca Sultana (Vittoriosa) were banned for one match Vittoriosa official Jonathan Vella was handed a two match ban while Pembroke official Godwin Gatt was banned for one.

Keith Vella (Luqa) was handed a two-match ban in the BOV National Amateur League while Jeremy George Azzopardi (Ghaxaq), Wallace Galea (Mdina), Fabio Luca Muscat (Msida) and Luke Zammit (Ta’ Xbiex) were suspended for one match. Luqa official Shaban Ben Taher was suspended for four matches.
