Gudja United move fourth

Gudja United moved fourth in the BOV Premier League table as they defeated Senglea Athletic 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.

A win which puts them just three points behind leaders Hibernians and two behind Hamrun and Sliema. Senglea, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table with just two points from eleven matches.

Following a goalless first half, Gudja forged ahead four mintus in the second half when off a corner by Terence Vella from the left, Imanol Gonzalez Benac headed home past goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia.

Yuri de Jesus Messias doubled the score on the 75th minute directly from a corner.
