Marsa moved to just one point behind leaders Pembroke Athleta in the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Fgura United 3-0 at the Centenary Stadium in one of the two matches in programme on Tuesday.
Leighton Grech put Marsa ahead on the 18th minute and Patrick Teixeira Maia doubled the score two minutes from the end of the first half. Leighton Grech sealed the issue with a third goal four minutes from time.
At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, San Gwann joined Qrendi in fourth place as they defeated Mqabba 3-1.
Andrea Zammit put San Gwann ahead on the 32nd and four minutes from the end of the first half, Uchenna Calistus Umeh doubled the score. Luca Mallia made it 3-0 on the 66th with Gianfranco Micallef scoring a consolation goal ten nminutes from time.
