BOV Challenge League: Marsa move five points clear

Leaders Marsa moved five points clear of second-placed Pembroke Athleta after defeating St. Andrews 4-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday in a match from the BOV Challenge League which was originally played on November 28 but was abandoned due to a power failure on the 62nd minute. Marsa were leading 2-0 thanks to goals by Lydon Micallef on the 20th and Dylan Grima on the 32nd.

On Wednesday, the match resumed from the 63rd minute with Jackson de Lima converting a penalty to make it 3-0. Malcolm Vella Vidal pulled one back for St. Andrews on the 72nd but three minutes later, Ian Zammit converted another penalty for Marsa to make it 4-1.
