Lija Athletic signed Argentine defensive midfielder Walter Omar Serrano.

Thirty-four year old Serrano is a product of Atletico de Rafaela but had a spell on loan with Argentinos Juniors. Later he had a spell with CD Godoy Cruz and the with Degensores de Belgrano in Argentina before moving to Peru where he played for AD Cantolao.
