Malta international midfielder Luke Gambin joined Newport County on loan from Colchester United.

Like Colchester United, Newport County play in League Two but they are currently fighting for promotion as they are currently in second place.

Gambin had started his career at AFC Wimbledon and then joined Barnet from where he had spells on loan at Metropolitan Police and Hendon Town. He moved to Luton Town in January 2017, spending season 2018/19 on loan at Crawley Town. In summer 2019, he joined Colchester United.
