Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the mid-week matches.

Alex Cini, Matias Nicolas Garcia and Nicola Leone (Floriana), Matthew Guillaumier (Hamrun), Leandro Almeida (Hibernians) and Juan Cruz Gill (Lija) were were all banned for one match and are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Floriana could not count on Cini, Garcia and Leone for the match against Sirens; Guillaumier will miss the game against Senglea; Almeida the derby against Tarxien and Gill the match against Birkirkara.

Lija Athletic coach Joseph Galea was banned for one match.

In the BOV Amateur League, Aaron Mizzi (Gharghur) was suspended for one match.
