Just over six weeks after being appointed as coach of Floriana FC, John Buttigieg has stepped down.

Buttigieg’s appointment failed to change the team’s fortunes as they earned just four points in draws, losing three league games and being eliminated from the FA Trophy following a 1-3 defeat to Santa Lucia on Wednesday.

Buttigieg could be replaced by Enzo Potenza whom he had replaced in December.
