Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend matches.

Oscar Carniello (Birkirkara), Karl Micallef (Hamrun), Clayton Failla and Kevin Tulimieri (Mosta), Dion Fava (Senglea) and Alessandro Milesi (Sliema), are therefore ruled out of this weekend’s matches.

Mosta could not count on Failla and Tulimieri for the clash against Santa Lucia; Carniello will miss the game against Floriana, Milesi the game against Balzan and Fava that against Valletta.

Valletta team manager Gerald Ellul was banned for four matches while Sliema coach Andrea Pisanu was suspended for one match.

In the Challenge League, Jackson Lima (Marsa) was banned for three matches while Thomas Grech and Owen Mifsud (Fgura), Andrew Agius and Emerson Vella (Qrendi), Mirko Vella (Swieqi), Daniel Sowatey (Vittoriosa), Luka Mijic and Ayrton Mizzi (Zebbug) were all suspended for one match. Marsa coach Ivan Zammit was handed a two-match ban while Zebbug coach Fausto Craighero was suspended for one match.

In the National Amateur League, Ristan Schembri (Birzebbuga) was suspended for three matches and Siggiewi official Clifford James Vassallo for one match.
