FA Trophy: Fontanella puts Valletta in quarter-finals

Valletta secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Malta FA Trophy after beating narrowly Senglea Athletic at the Hibernians Stadium on Wednesday.

The Citizens, who had already defeated another Premier League side, Gudja United 2-1 in the previous round, register the second win in four days over bottom-placed Senglea Athletic after defeating them 3-1 in a league match on Sunday.

Mario Fontanella scored the all-important goal on the 33rd minute.

Eight minutes in the second half, Blas Andreas Cittadini scored Hamrun’s fourth with the same player adding another on the 79th. Five minutes from time, Adeshina sealed the issue with a sixth goal.
