FA Trophy: Stoppage-time penalty puts Hibernians through

A penalty deep into stoppage time handed Hibernians a narrow win over Challenge League side Pembroke Athleta in a match from the Round of 16 of the Malta FA Trophy at the Centenary Stadium on Wednesday.

The Paolites, who had defeated Zejtun Corinthians 3-0 in the previous round, last week, therefore secure a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The game seemed heading for extra-time but seven minutes in added time, Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro converted a penalty to put Hibernians through.
