GFA Council votes in favour of declaring competitions null

The Council of the Gozo Football Association voted in favour of a proposal to declare that the Gozo Football League First Division and Second Division would be declared null.

Eleven clubs voted in favour of this proposal and three against.

It is now up to the Executive Committee of the Malta Football Association to approve this decision. In that case, there would be no champions, relegations and promotions.

Before the leagues were interrupted, Ghajnsielem were leading the BOV Gozo Football League First Division table with 25 points, six ahead of Victoria Hotspurs and Nadur Youngsters. On the other hand, Qala Saints led the BOV Gozo Football League Second Division with 20 points, seven ahead of second-placed Gharb Rangers.
