Johann Said has been appointed as president of Floriana FC during the first meeting of the new commitee following the club’s Annual General Meeting which was held on Sunday.

Said had already served as president between 2010 and 2012, leading the club to an FA Trophy win in 2011.

Dr Shazoo Ghaznavi will serve as vice-president and Matthew Carbone as Chief Executive. Dione Borg will continue to serve as general secretary while Edward Spiteri is the new treasurer.

The other members of the committee are assistant secretary Dr Jacques Grima, assistant treasurer Calvin Sammut, communications director Stefan Sammut, director for medical affairs Dr Jordan Camilleri, director for commercial affairs Karl Azzopardi and director for the Nursery Mario Galea.
