The possible UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round opponents for the winners of the UEFA Europa Conference League clashes involving Birkirkara, Gzira United and Mosta and the loser of the UEFA Champions League clash involving Hibernians were revealed on Wednesday as the draw was held at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
The winner of the clash between UE Sant Julià and Gzira United will be meeting HNK Rijeka of Croatia. The first leg will be played in Andorra/Malta.
The winner of the clash between La Fiorita 1967 and Birkirkara will be facing Olimpija Ljubljana of Slovenia, first leg to be played in Ljubljana.
The winner of the clash between FC Spartak Trnava and Mosta will face Sepsi OSK Sfantu Gheorghe of Romania, first leg to be played in Slovakia/Malta.
Meanwhile should Hibernians lose out to FC Flora Tallinn of the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round, they enter the second qualifying round champions path of the UEFA Europa Conference League where they would face the loser of the clash between SS Folgore of San Marino and FC Prishtina of Kosovo.
In fact, in the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round, there are two paths at this stage: the Champions Path and Main Path.
The three teams eliminated in the UEFA Champions League preliminary round and the 17 teams eliminated in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round all transfer to the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round Champions Path.
On the other hand, the teams entering at this stage in the Main Path were joined by the 33 first qualifying round winners.
Winners of the second qualifying round ties move on to the third qualifying round.
