Floriana secured the services of defender Zachary Cassar from Birkirkara. Cassar signed a three-year deal with the Greens.

The twenty two year old is a product of Birkirkara but had spells on loan with Senglea Athletic, Gudja United and once again Senglea last season.

Floriana FC have earlier appointed Italian coach Gianluca Atzori as their new coach and signed goalkeeper Andreas Vella.
