The draws for the National Youth League, the Women’s Under-20 League and the Women’s Under-16 League 2021/22 were held on Friday by MFA Director Football Operations Stephen Azzopardi.

Forty seven teams divided into four sections are taking part in the National Youth League – twelve teams in each of Sections A, B and C and eleven teams in Section D. Each section will be played over two rounds. The league gets underway on September 13 and ends on May 5.

Section A matches will be played mostly on Mondays, Section B matches on Mondays and Tuesdays, Section C matches on Wednesdays and Section D matches on Thursdays in the different football grounds around Malta.

Meanwhile as from this season, the Women’s Under-20 League and the Women’s Under-16 League will be replacing the Women’s Under-19 and Women’s Under-15 Leagues.

Seven teams will be playing in the Women’s Under-20 League which will be played over three rounds between September 25 and April 30 on Saturdays at the Mgarr Ground and the Kirkop Ground.

Eight teams will take part in the Women’s Under-16 League which will be played on Sundays at the Kirkop Ground and the Marsaskala Ground between November 14 and the end of April. The league will be played over two rounds.
