Sliema Wanderer signed Brazilian twenty six year old central defender Matheus Freitas Carvalho Da Silva.

After playing for Goianesia EC in Brazil, Matheus Freitas had a first experience in Europe with KF Hajvalia in Kosovo. He returned to Brazil to play for Goianesia and America FC and then moved back to Europe to join Sokol Brozany in the Czech Republic. On his return to Brazil, he played for Hercilio Luz FC

The Wanderers, who have confirmed coach Andrea Pisanu, had earlier signed Warsama Hassan Houssein, Yuki Uchida, Myles Beerman and goalkeeper David Cassar.
