Birkirkara women lose to Glasgow City in UEFA Women’s Champions League mini-tournament

The Birkirkara women’s team lost 0-3 to Glasgow City in Group 2 of the Round 1 semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Broadway Stadium in Cumbernauld, Scotland, on Wednesday.

Glasgow City took just three minutes to find the back of the net thanks to a spectacular strike from distance for Clare Shine which beat goalkeeper Janice Xuereb.

Priscilla Chinchilla doubled the lead on the 15th minute with a curved shot which ended in the top right corner.

Two minutes from the end of the first half, Vital Kats scored with a great shot from inside the box when served by Julia Molin.
