The Malta FA has appointed Ms Pamela Schembri as Director of Communications.

Ms Schembri was already part of the Communications Department of the Association. With an academic and professional background in Education, she has years of experience and an established profile in the local media sector. She also served within the Parliamentary Secretariat for Sport for 3 years in 2014-17.

Commenting on the appointment, MFA President, Bjorn Vassallo said, “the promotion of women in the top management structures of football play a positive role and produce not only more equality but also substantial efficiency gains.”

The Malta FA would like to thank Kevin Azzopardi, former Director of Communications who stepped down earlier this year, for his sterling work during his time at the Association.
