Manuel Bartolo seals Valletta FC move

Manuel Bartolo is officially once again a Valletta FC goalkeeper.

A product of San Gwann, Bartolo joined Msida St. Joseph in January 2006 on loan and on a definite transfer the following summer. He was loaned to Birkirkara in season 2010/11 and Floriana in 2011/12. He moved to Valletta in summer 2012 but was loaned to Balzan for the latter part of season 2013/14 and to Zebbug for the latter part of season 2014/15. In summer 2016, after starring for Valletta in the UEFA Champions League commitments, Manuel Bartolo joined Mosta in August. The following season, he played for San Gwann in Division 1 but joined Hamrun Spartans in 2018, where he spent the last three years.

Valletta, who have confirmed Antonio Jose Cardoso Mendes as coach, had earlier signed Alessandro Guarnone, Ivan Curjuric, James Arthur, Caio Henrique Rocha De Almeida Prado, Michele Sansone and Clive Gauci. On the other hand, Milan Jurdik was released last week.
