Birkirkara edge past Balzan to register third win on the trot

Birkirkara joined Hibernians on top the BOV Premier League table with maximum points after three matches after defeating Balzan 2-1 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.

For Balzan, on the other hand, this was the second successive defeat after beating Sliema and losing to Valletta.

Federico Falcone put the Stripes ahead on the 2nd minute and although Milos Mijic equalised on the 39th, just before the end of the first half, Jeferson Macedo made it 2-1 for Birkirkara.
