Zejtun Corinthians registered their second win in the BOV Challenge League in one of the four matches in programme on Saturday.
In Group A, Zejtun defeated Rabat Ajax 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium thanks to goals by Christian Degabriele on the 27th and a Jean Carlos Cloth Goncalves just before the end of the first half.
At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Lija Athletic and San Gwann shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Roberio do Nascimento Santos put Lija ahead on the 50th but goals by Sjaak Kuyper on the 71st and Dale Mifsud on the 84th turned the score in San Gwann’s favour. However Roberio do Nascimento notched the equaliser on the 90th.
In Group B, a goal by Gordon Saliba on the 96th minute handed Mgarr United a dramatic win over Senglea Athletic at the Centenary Stadium.
On the other hand, at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Tarxien Rainbows and Swieqi United shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
