Gudja defeat Sliema in five-goal thriller

Gudja United registered their first win in the BOV Premier League as they defeated Sliema Wanders by the odd goal in five at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Sunday.

Gudja, who were coming from a draw with Santa Lucia in their previous game, move seventh on four points. The Wanderers, on the other hand, remain second from bottom on two points.

Abdeen Temitope Abdul put Gudja ahead on the 20th minute but Sliema equalised three minutes later thanks to Miguel Fernandes de Lima and two minutes from the end of the first half, Valmir Berisha made it 2-1 for the Wanderers.

However six minutes in the second half, Marcelo Dias levelled matters and five miniutes later, Ruslan Kisil notched the winner for Gudja.
