Naxxar Lions registered their third win in the BOV Challenge League, Zejtun Corinthians dropped their first points, Swieqi returned to winning ways while Zebbug and Tarxien shared the spoils in a draw on Saturday.
In Group A, goals by Gilberto Carrara Martins Leite on the 24th minute and Jurgen Debono on the 89th handed Naxxar Lions a 2-0 win over Lija Athletic at the Centenary Stadium.
At the Victor Tedesco Stadium, Zejtun Corinthians and San Gwann shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
In Group B, Swieqi United returned to winning ways as they defeated Senglea Athletic 1-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. Johan Alberto Castano scored the all-important goal on the 6th minute.
At the Centenary Stadium, Zebbug Rangers and Tarxien Rainbows shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Goals by Randall Vella on the 10th and Travis Bartolo on the 32nd gave Zebbug a two-goal lead but Ricardo Silva Faria pulled one back on the 42nd, the same player equalising on the 94th minute.
