Under-16 side beaten 7-3 in Montenegro

The Malta Under-16 national team led by coach Andrea Vella lost 7-3 to Montenegro in a friendly match at the Stadion Tuško Polje in Tuzi, Podgorica on Tuesday.

The hosts scored four within the first twenty eight minutes thanks to Marko Tadic on the 7th, Andrija Skrobanovic on the 11th, Vasilije Adzic and Stefan Djukanovic on the 28th. Malta hit back with goals by Jake Azzopardi on the 35th and Nicholas Agius on the 51st.

Montenegro, however, regained a comfortable lead with goals by Vasilije Adzic on the 53rd, Marko Scepanovic on the 57th and Marko Perovic on the hour. Nexille Grech scored a third goal for Malta on the 73rd minute.

Another friendly match between the two teams is scheduled on Thursday at the FC Kom Stadium in Podgorica
