Futsal: Siġġiewi prove to be a tough nut to crack for Valletta

Valletta Futsal obtained a dramatic 2-1 win over Siġġiewi to keep their perfect record intact. It was no easy match for Dylan Micallef’s troops who had a tough nut to crack against a Siggiewi side. The latter went ahead through Brazilian striker Wallace. Valletta had to leave everything for the last minutes to turn the tables with their veteran player Jovica Milijic coming into the fore and scoring a brace for their most dramatic win.

Luxol St Andrews registered a comfortable 12-0 win over St Georges. Hebberth Bolt was inspirational for his team as he scored a poker, Mark Zammit notched a hat-trick while Carl Azzopardi, Melvin Borg, Marwan Telisi, Matthew Attard and Celino Alves were also on target.

Ta’ Xbiex maintained their good form of late after a 12-1 win over Qormi. George Frendo was four times on target, Jason Gauci and Glenn Bonello scored a brace while Stefi Cale, Kurt Bartolo, Karl Sacco and Redeemer Borg also put their names on the score sheet.

University of Malta obtained their third win on the trot as they defeated Żurrieq 3-2. Jean Noel Azzopardi scored a brace for the University with Bruno Fernandes adding another one. Keith Callus and Alexei Saliba replied for Żurrieq.

Naxxar obtained a precious 5-2 score line against Marsaskala. The Northerners were motivated to get the most important win with their talisman player Clyde Bonavia scoring a poker while Josef Azzopardi added another one. Matthias Camilleri and Denim Parnis scored Marsaskala’s goals.
