Valletta awarded 3-0 win over Sliema after protest

The Protests Board of the Malta Football Association upheld the protest filed by Valletta FC in relation to the match against Sliema Wanderers, played on the 20th November, 2021 at the National Stadium which had ended 2-1 in favour of Sliema Wanderers.

The protest was based on the fact that Warsama Hassan of Sliema Wanderers was deemed to have played while under the obligation to self-isolate by law following his appearance in the World Cup qualifier between his home country of Djibouti and Algeria, which took place in Egypt, currently a dark red-listed country..

Warsama Hassan was included as a substitute on the 90th minute as he replaced Gabriel Aquilina.

Valletta were therefore awarded the three points for the fixture in question.

  1. X’ghandhom x’jaqsmu ir-regoli tal-MFA mar-regoli ta’ l-Awtoritajiet tas-Sahha?

U pussibbli kieku stess Sliema ma kinux jafu li dan il-player taghhom suppost kien kwarantina?

    Kampjonat imtappan.

  2. Pastazata din !

    L-Awtoritajiet tas-Sahha inkisru u mhux tal-MFA!

Jekk dan il-player suppost kwarantina , kif ir-referees thallew jirrefjaw fl-istess match day meta dik il-gimgha kellhom kuntatt ma’referee li kienu flimkien f’meeting ?

    Il-loghob jintrebah fil-ground u mhux fuq il-mejda !
