Hibernians dropped another two points in the race for the championship as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Mosta at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
The Paolites, who were coming from a 1-1 draw with Sirens earlier this week, now lead the table, seven points clear of Floriana and eight of Hamrun but the latter two have a game in hand. Mosta, on the other hand, move one point ahead of Santa Lucia but the latter have a game in hand.
Mosta had Ini Etim Akpan, Dennis Agyare Antwi along with substitute Youri Loen making their debut. Hibs, on the other hand, welcomed back Ferdinando Apap.
Hibs took the lead on the 14th minute when a Jurgen Degabriele effort was blocked by Jonas Rodriguez Ekani and Ayrton Attard slammed the ball home off the rebound.
Mosta equalised six minutes in the second half when off a cross by Zachary Brincat from the right, Dennis Agyare Antwi headed home from an angled position.
