Kurt Shaw was the hero once again for Sliema Wanderers as he scored the only goal in a narrow win over Sirens at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The Wanderers therefore registered a second win on the trot to move to just two points behind Santa Lucia. Sirens, on the other hand, missed an excellent opportunity to climb further up the table and therefore stay on the 22-point mark.
Sliema scored the all-important goal ten minutes in the second half thanks to Kurt Shaw who headed the ball home off a corner from the right.
