San Gwann moved fifth in Group A of the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Melita 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Ayrton Azzopardi put San Gwann ahead on the 34th and Sjaak Kuyper doubled the score two minutes in added time.
Pembroke lead the way with 34 points, followed by Naxxar on 31, Zejtun 27, Melita 24, San Gwann and Marsaxlokk 23, Lija 21, Mqabba 17, Vittoriosa 13, Rabat 10 and St. George’s 4.
In Group B, a goal by Mario Dominicus on the 57th minute handed Luqa St. Andrew’s a narrow win over Swieqi United as they returned to winning ways to join Mgarr United on the 10-point mark.
Zebbug lead the way with 30 points followed by Tarxien on 28, Pieta 27, Marsa 26, Qrendi 20, Fgura, St. Andrews and Swieqi 19, Senglea 12, Mgarr and Luqa 10.
